CAST CALLS / AUDITIONS FOR KIDS & TEENS

SUFFOLK


Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts' Youth Experiencing Art Project will hold auditions for
Seussical Jr.
on Saturday December 12 from 2 - 5 PM at the theatre located at 2 East Main Street in Smithtown.
ALL ROLES ARE OPEN / Auditions open to 8 to 18 year olds.
Performances are February 13 - March 7 every Saturday at 2 and Sunday at 12 (No performance February 14).
Two performances daily February 15 - 19 (Presidents week). You must be available for all performances to be cast.
Rehearsals will begin sporadically December 20 ( with some rehearsals during Christmas holiday week depending on availability)
Full rehearsals begin January 4 and will be Monday - Thursday from 4 - 7PM.
PLEASE NOTE - THIS IS A SHORT REHEARSAL PERIOD - WHILE WE WILL WORK WITH CONFLICTS, EXCESSIVE CONFLICTS WILL HINDER OUR ABILITY TO CAST YOU AND TO CREATE A QUALITY SHOW.
Those auditioning should prepare 16 bars of music they sing well, bring a photo and a resume of their experience.
You will only be asked to sing on December 12. Dance and acting auditions will be held for those called back only.

Gercharel Players, Inc. is currently seeking 2 boys (age range 6 - 10) and 2 girls (age range 10 - 15) to play the Cratchit children in Cora Wilson Greenwood's adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol
This production will run in South Setauket, Bay Shore and Rockville Centre from Friday, December 11, 2009 to Sunday, December 27.  Currently, there are 4 performances booked.  4 additional bookings and venues are possible, but are tentative at this time. 
Most of the rehearsals will take place in Lindenhurst.  The show will close no later than Sunday, December 27.  There will be no performance on Christmas Day.  Gercharel Players, Inc. is a non-equity travelling community theatre.  There is no pay.

GSG Productions, a youth/young adult theatre company based in Brentwood, is looking for young people for their newest production, an original play with music called "Could We Start Again?," which will be staged in February.

Looking for actors for the world premiere production of The Legend of St. Nicholas
Seeking kids age 8-11 to fill out the ensemble.
The shows are 12/9 at 8:30, 12/10 at 8 pm, 12/12 at 4:30 & 8 pm, 12/13 at 7 pm, 12/18 at 8 pm, 12/19 at 4 pm & 8 pm, 12/20 at 3 pm
1st weekend is in Plainview, 2nd weekend is in Westchester. Tech "week" will be Sun 12/6-Wed 12/8.
 The play is a musical based on the book The Autobiography of Santa Claus, which tells the story of the journey of Nicholas becoming a saint, dying, gaining immortality, falling in love, meeting up with the likes of King Arthur, Leonardo DaVinci, Ben Franklin, Amelia Earhart & other historical figures who form a merry band of helpers, allowing Santa to achieve the legendary status he has today.  
 Rehearsals begin immediately, so get ready to jump right into it.

The Cathedral of the Incarnation is auditioning boys ages 8-11 and girls ages 9-13
for the Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys and the Cathedral Girls' Choir.
This is a great opportunity for musical and bright young singers to receive free musical training,
knowledge of music theory and sight-singing, and to gain great new friends.
Choirs rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday and perform on Sundays through early June.
Auditions are ongoing.
